HOW IS bare. Waxing & Aesthetics DIFFERENT FROM OTHER WAXING AND BEAUTY STUDIOS?

At bare. Waxing & Aesthetics, we see the human form as a piece of artwork. We cater to all genders and believe that everyone should enjoy the benefits of waxing and aesthetics.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS DOES bare. Waxing & Aesthetics ACCEPT?

All retainers are paid via Square. Any remaining balance and/or products purchased are paid by either Cash or Zelle. No credit/debit cards.

DOES WAXING HURT?

Waxing has a slight sting but goes away almost immediately. Most people, including first-timers, always say that its not as bad as they expected it to be. If you have a low tolerance for pain, I recommend taking any OTC or physical prescribed pain medication 30 minutes prior to appointment start time.

HOW LONG MUST THE HAIR BE IN ORDER TO BE WAXED?

Hair must have at least 4 weeks of consistent hair growth and/or the length of a grain of rice (1/4-1/2 inch long). I do not trim hair before or after in the bikini/brazilian area.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WAX?

On average, you should be waxing every 3-6 weeks depending on the area of the body.

CAN I WAX WHILE ON MY PERIOD?

Yes! You can get waxed while on your period. Just make sure you have a fresh tampon or menstrual cup inserted prior to your service. Rescheduling/Cancellation policy still applies.

CAN I WAX WHILE PREGNANT?

Absolutely! Just take into account that while your body is going through hormonal changes, you may experience slight discomforts at times.

WHY SHOULD I WAX OVER SHAVING?

Waxing removes the hair from the follicle. Over time, the hairs weaken thus leading to sparseness and finer hairs. Shaving simply trims the hair to the surface of your skin creating stubble, microabrasions on the skin and ingrown hairs.

CAN I WAX IF I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN?

Yes. All waxes we use in studio are hypoallergenic and formulated for sensitive skin.

WHAT TYPE OF WAX IS USED?

All bare. BIKINI services are hard wax only and bare. BROW services are mainly soft wax but hard wax can be used if skin analysis determines it's a better option. Every wax I use has been carefully researched and tested to determine efficacy and quality. The difference between the two type of waxes I carry in-studio is that hard wax dries on the skin and is pulled off immediately whereas soft strip wax requires the use of muslin or a pellon strip to be removed.

WHAT IS A JELLY MASK?

A Jelly Mask is an alginate mask that starts off as a powder in its most potent form and then mixed with water to provide the skin with several benefits such as hydration, smoothing, moisturizing, clarifying, anti-aging, exfoliating, cooling, toning and inflammation reduction.

WHAT IS HIGH FREQUENCY?

High frequency machines function by using argon or neon gas filled glass electrodes to emit a thermal electrical current to the surface of the skin. It kills bacteria as well as increase oxygen to the skin improving the overall texture, tone, and help treat several acne problems. All of this promotes collagen stimulation and elastin production, providing a firmer and more youthful appearance. Several other benefits include treating enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles, puffy eyes, dark under eye circles and in some cases, thinning hair.

CAN I GET HIGH FREQUENCY TREATMENTS?

Unfortunately, not everyone would be able to enjoy the benefits of high frequency treatments. If you have any of the following conditions, you are not eligible to receive HF: pregnant or trying to get pregnant, heart conditions and/or heart disease, pacemakers/braces, epilepsy, high blood pressure, inflamed or couperose (rosacea) skin, excessive dental fillings (strong metallic taste in mouth), or suffer from headaches/migraines.
